some humour, some angst...
...and fanserviceSamaritan's eyes again.
Oh, I get it. It's kind of like 3x14, some humour and winding down after high drama.
Reese: Finch, how do you know so much about getting marijuana?
Finch: Mr.Reese, you want me to call this in or not?
Oh, there comes Root. Welcome back, girl.
Enlisting, huh. Makes sense, but... they can't quite employ the nautilus route, can they? People on Team Machine must be aware and willing.
Well, Fusco doesn't count as fully aware, but... you know, "Fusco power".
Also, that enlisting idea clashes violently with Harold's "one man army" (Or, as Claire put it, "one man revolution") preferred mode of operation. Even working in a team, he still does that. And he needs to have things under control, more or less. He's the team's coordinator, when there are no conflicts between them.
I do hope Root didn't spike that "to die for" tea with anything. She's fun like that.
Dominic. Damn him.
When will Elias take out this guy?
And, suddenly... the man in the suit.
Suprise, m-f-kers.
Getting old, Mr.Reese? Turning your back to a suspicious person? Oh well, don't complain now.
Samaritan's feeds got that "kinda anaglyph" effect too... I wonder if it really works. Might try to invest in a pair of red-cyan glasses to check it.
Fusco: What's your pal Mr. Peabody doing?
Fusco and his endearments. Had to look this one up. Seems to have mostly positive connotations though.
Hmm. Harold tracking Root? Won't she see him?
Of course, she doesn't have "her imaginary friend" talking in her ear much, but she's been pretty good even before getting plugged in, right?
Oh. There she goes. Nicely done, indeed.
You know... not to sound heartless... but that Harper\Maria\whatever girl... maybe she was about to get what's coming for her. Because to be stupid or senseless enough to pull stuff like that? Maybe bad things have to happen to people who do that, just so they cannot do that anymore. It would be stupid enough if she stole criminal money, because you need a higher level of badass for that. But she stole genuinely earner money from dispensery. All that knowing that the owner is going to answer to the Brotherhood. Basically, she set everyone up and merrily moved on.
And what she does with that money? Does she need it to pay for unaffordable medication or surgery, to save a family heirloom from being sold, to take care of a small relative who's struggling through an orphan's life? NOPE. She's just chilling out in a club.
You may say that Root used to be like that, and yeah, somewhat, and I hated her too when she was. Besides, Root was smart enough to never get caught. She surely didn't leave a trail a mile wide after herself.
Oh okay. Not just for chilling. So she was dumb enough to owe big money to wrong guys. Still.
Bad stuff happening to you due to your own criminal stupidity, that's basically what Darwin's award is about, more or less. She wouldn't qualify, but the sentiment is the same.
Harold tailing Root again.
She smiles into a camera, so, good standing with the Machine, I'll say.
Or she's taunting Samaritan. Root's smiles are hard to discern.
Dominic's pretty technical. Gamers? Ones and zeroes? What the hell is that about?
Donates, huh? Folks paying real money for in-game currency, to buy stuff - but where does Dominic come into this? He needs to turn virtual money back to real, that's what he says. Meaning what, he buys in-game currency from gamers?
Aaaaaaaand that's how this episode is similar to 3x14.
Harper: What about Captain McConnick? He work for you?
Finch: Detective Riley and I are partners.
Harper: Didn't see that coming.

And to sweeten the deal, they barely even blink, let alone refute the mistaken interpretation.
Harold does turn to John with a bit of a questioning expression (as the one who said the phrase), but there isn't a single reproving glance.
FANSERVICE AHOY.
Not as big as that ShawRoot kiss, but, given the price it came at, I'd rather stay with small unrefuted misinterpretations, thank you.
So okay, she's smart, seeing all that stuff on the fly, doesn't mean she isn't (and hadn't been) acting dumbly and senselessly.
Huh! Harold gets right back at the girl. Go Harold.
Oh, Root. "Your boss's reputation preceeds him" sounds really scary. I do hope it's not another Samaritan firm.
John's eyes look a little wet. I guess it can be attributed to Dominic mentioning "one of the pretty little brunettes".
Fusco still rules.
And, oh, is it Detective Sunshine now?
That went awfully smooth. As if there was no need for John to get the guy. Although, just to be sure there's no double-crossing...
Ah, and that "boss" Root's getting to is a human, fortunately.
I get a feeling I must know that guy, but... oops. Don't remember. Trying, but only getting Logan Piers, and that's definitely not him.
Oh, free hugs.
Well, not exactly free, had to save her backside first. But still.
Huh, I did get the feeling she nicked something, although it looked like she got something from the pocket. But Finch... oh, Finch is brilliant like that.
So I guess smart stupid Harper is going to make an encore appearance sometime... doesn't mean I've got to like her.
Oh, I forgot again.
Go Team Machine.
