Here's something helpful, by the way. Getting proper names by ear is a pain.
developments are slowMachine's eyes again.
And I guess we're getting a flashback... some new facts about the old story...
Or maybe we get to see Control.
Awwwwwwwwwwww, Harold...
Oh-OH. A bomb, Harold?
Well, shouldn't be surprised, he's scary when he's really mad.
Okay, fast forward to 2015.
"He was my best friend"... how is it that I can tell Harold's bullshitting someone? Probably a therapist. Probably a number.
Yeah, I was right. Also, Harold's pulling a psychosomatic injury.

Shrink: Is the dog from your wife?
Finch: No, we never-- My fiancee didn't have any pets. How do you know--
Shrink: That there was someone else in your life? Just a hunch.
He isn't reading Finch's relation to Grace. He's reading something lots more recent.
Like someone who got Finch a dog.

Karma, huh? Why do I get the feeling this guy helps karma a bit?
Well, there was a "justice-restoring" shrink in Body of proof...
Oh hot damn. John goes to Freckles today?
Why do I get the feeling she's either with the bad guys or is going to die soon?
(Maybe because it's just his luck)
Hmm. Why is Harold so sure they're wife's belongings?
And now I get that weird feeling that the guy is cross-dressing.
Oh-kay, there's something bigger at play...
Wow, that was cool. Excellent framing, the bad guy will hardly get out now.
However, the Machine only cares for violent crimes - basically, anything resulting in death. Framing alone doesn't quite cut it. So, either the karma-helping guy is going to kill someone, or, more likely, someone's going to try and kill him, for all the "good" he's done.
And that Morris with circumstantial evidence... what if he didn't kill the shrink's wife?
Aaaand here comes Freckles, heavily tipping the balance of "bad guys side vs. being killed" towards being killed. Just John's luck.
Would be very interesting if nothing of the sort eventuates, though.
Averting eyes when complimenting her, John? Either that's part of his cover - entirely unnecessary - or he just doesn't feel like flirting with her, which totally gets my approval (but then, I'd be fishing for any sign).
Or just already being in professional mode, which totally gets my approval as well.
Doesn't anyone find it weird that there's only one photo of her?
Is it just me, or Morris on that prison photo looks a tiny bit like Hersh? Something about his mouth?
Okay, now why he unlocks his car twice?
Ah, it didn't unlock the first time. Gotta know. Mr.Reese is fast, as always.
Mmm, how about... the shrink happened to kill his own wife? Not a nice supposition on my behalf, but why else he'd frame someone else?
Oh, back to poor wheelchaired Harold of 2010. Is he planning to blow someone up? I do remember Alicia still being alive in season 1. I think Root was the one who killed her? Can't say I remember. The thing is, she did get killed on screen, and not in a flashback time either.
Wait a second, what was that? Not a prank call, surely. Then, was that from the Machine? I bet she'd be getting quite a bit of cognitive dissonance at seeing Admin planning to perpetrate murder.
Well, the payphone call is definitely from her. But what'd she say?
She did say something. Harold's face expression changed in reaction, instead of remaining waiting. Why don't we get to hear?
Oh. She doesn't talk aloud at all yet? Then what was it that he heard? Those faint background noises that she makes?
OH real subtle here, Harold. That thing is a bomb AND it looks like a bomb, too. And so soon after 9\11, what the hell are you doing flashing this thing?!
Funny that I don't disapprove of his endeavor at all. Maybe because I know that this two-faced female lives.
But... what if he does blow someone up, only it won't be Alicia, but some innocent person instead?
Well, one thing should be clear, the guy didn't kill his wife. He's white in the Machine's eyes. Although... is there a statute of limitations on her marking someone as violent?
Maybe he did?
Huh! John has a point. Maybe the car blast is an act of framing? But it had to be prepared, and how would the shrink know Morris got paroled, if Harold didn't know due to that lateness thing?
Strangely, I believe the quoting verbatim thing. It's just... you come up with something that sounds good, and then forget you already used it, and then happen to use the exactly same expression when you feel it's appropriate. I did a few in writing, only to later notice there's that repetition, after checking and seeing both cases. The shrink guy certainly had enough time to forget. Then he came into the same situation... and used the same words.
Whoops. So the shrink guy has Morris' old e-mail hacked, too? That doesn't sound good at all.
Although, how could he not notice our favourite man in the suit, who sticks out like a sore thumb with his height and flashy long-coat?
Whoops again.
Giving his dog away for undefined time? Perhaps the shrink isn't going to kill anyone. Perhaps he's going to kill himself with that gun, and frame Morris for good. Funny way to do business, but whaddya know.
Well, that picture posting activity doesn't disprove my supposition.
Is that the original of the photo? Like, the only variant?
And I guess Mr.Reese didn't remove all those things.
Botanical garden must be where the shrink guy met his future wife.
Wow, Harold. Is it some kind of passive-agressive move along the lines of "if I get hurt during trying to stop that guy it's going to be your fault"?
And it would work with John, too. John's rather easy to guilt-trip, if there's actual harm involved.
Aaaand back to Harold of 2010.
Wow. The Machine would relegate him from contingency to violent? Wow.
Actually, "informed and violent". Root used to have that frame.
"Stop calling, stop calling, I don't wanna think anymore".
Harold's cruel, but not violent.
I wonder if it was then that the Machine learned to speak?
Hey, shrink guy, don't you forget something? There's a witness now, who can tell Morris hadn't touch a hair on your head. Which means, to perform your big plan you must get rid of that witness. Which makes it murder anyway.
Hopefully John gets there before Harold is hurt.
Harold... wow.
And John did get there.
Even if there was convincing done instead of hurting.
Well, hopefully Morris doesn't turn around in last second and harm someone?
He didn't. Yay.
And Freckles didn't get killed. Meaning the balance is back to even.
I genuinely don't believe it's going to end well. I just don't.
Why do they insist on talking. Putting stuff into words helps, yes it does. Formulating it, finding a way to describe it in a way that's both acceptable and truthful. Coming to terms with it. (Terms, see?) But why does that have to be aloud? And why does that have to be to a shrink?
And John's mode of grieving is "go after those who is at fault and keep killing them".
Hey, a lamp glowing in warm hues in the corner is a bit over the top. I appreciate symbols, but it's not theater, it's TV.
And yeah, he's going to ask her out now. Obviously.
Is it just me, or them walking a dog together after a similar suggestion from the girl who's into the shrink guy a bit of a pointed analogy?
And wow, the Machine would look into Morris guilt just from their discussion? Cool.
Go Team Machine.
